The CNCC TWS Conservation Committee works with the National TWS to "identif[y] and addres[s] policy priorities within [our] region" because we "have a responsibility as a scientific societ[y] for professional wildlife managers and conservationists to address issues that affect the current and future status of wildlife" (wildlife.org/policy). Part of this involves commenting on local or national legislation or projects (providing comments both for and against, depending on the environmental issues). Past comment letters (and public comments) were provided for the Humboldt Wind Project and the federal Border Wall. If you'd like to be involved in the Conservation Committee, we are always accepting new members!
