Join the California North Coast Chapter of The Wildlife Society's Women of Wildlife group for an easy overnight backpacking trip into the Trinity Alps Wilderness. Trip leaders have experience in the backcountry and will help introduce you to basic backpacking skills in a supportive environment. This trip is open to women and nonbinary people and no experience is required.
This event consists of two parts: a classroom planning and training session from 10:00 AM until noon on August 26, 2023, and the backpacking trip itself on September 9-10, 2023. Meeting times for the trip itself and other logistics will be determined during the classroom session.
The cost to register is: $50 for students $80 for non-students The trip includes dinner on the first night of the trip - you will supply your own breakfast and snacks. There will be an opportunity to coordinate gear and plan carpooling during the classroom session.
